Knowing engine & History of action inventing

I always want to have such tool to make diffuse effects and focus correction and never can do it without colossal efforts and dozens of manual steps. Then I considered to design this action to forget about manual process. All I need now is just to point (with map layer) which areas to be blured (should be black) and which to stay sharp (Should be White). The action will process all tones between black and whte area with smooth blur radius increment.
