Depending on your image you can use textures in overlay, soft light, hard light, multiply or color blending modes playing with different levels of opacity. For more natural look mask some areas of the overlay texture. You can change easy color of textures by using Layer style > Color overlay > Overlay ( Multiply, Soft Light or Color modes ) and reducing opacity. Vintage textures are perfect for web and print design.
